What WantedHere is
WantedHere is a community demand site. People browse campaigns, start campaigns, and join them after creating an account and verifying that they are eligible for that market. Campaigns are unofficial. They are not sponsored by the companies named in them.
Account information
If you create an account, we store the email and password you submit through our authentication provider, plus the display name (and optional bio) on your profile. We use that account so one person can support a campaign once and so you can sign back in, reset a password, or edit your profile.
Joining a campaign
When you join, we store your answers to the three Signal questions (likelihood, timing, and expected usage) against that campaign. An optional private note, if you add one, does not enter WantedHere Signal and is not shown on the public campaign page.
Location
Location is used to check that your support is eligible for the campaign’s market. Exact coordinates are not shown on public pages and are not published in public campaign evidence. Public Demand Footprint views are privacy-protected approximations; small counts stay hidden.
For some markets, eligibility can be checked against a published boundary. When that is not available, verification may use a geocoding service. WantedHere does not expose map tokens in the browser for that purpose.
What is public
Anyone can browse open campaigns, public supporter counts, WantedHere Signal (including Gathering signal before a numeric score), and privacy-safe Demand Footprint summaries. Your email, password, exact location, and private notes are not shown there.
What we do not do in this V1
We do not currently offer a way for companies to claim a brand profile, buy audience data, or message supporters from a dashboard. We do not currently operate advertising, paid data resale, or a children’s version of WantedHere.
Hosting
The live product uses a hosted database and authentication service to keep accounts and campaign records. This page does not replace that provider’s own terms.
Changes
WantedHere is pre-launch. If these practices change, we will update this page. Questions about this V1 can start from How it works or Terms.
